Black and white foliage casts sharp shadows against a textured wall. The plants and their shadows create exaggerated graphic patterns of light and dark. I was putting in new plants at night by flashlight in front of my Jerusalem sage (and a few stray grass plants) when I looked up and saw this magical effect.
